Before Ralia ascended to godhood and dethroned the presiding god of death, one of the tools she had in her arsenal was the Amulet of Wrongful Death. Designed and crafted by Ralia herself and blessed by the Abating Bear, this amulet has the powerful ability to detect if the death of a creature was a rightful death, or if the death had happened at the right time.
While holding the amulet, you must lean over a mortal that has passed on by any means and lay your hand over their heart, if possible. If the Raven Queen deems you worthy of acquiring such knowledge, the answer will be given to you, but at the cost of some sanity should the answer come back tragic. The discovery of a wrongful death is a burden not easily carried, especially if it was the death was of personal significance.
If the creature's death was a wrongful death, the amulet becomes inactive for a time determined by the dungeon master. The dim light shining from the amulet will go out and will shine again once the amulet reactivates.
