Weapon (battleaxe), very rare (requires attunement)

This axe is wrought from mithral quenched in white dragon's blood and strengthened with white dragonbone marrow. The axe head has the symbol of Auril, The Frostmaiden, engraved upon it. The weapon is also engraved with other various runes and symbols, all of which glow faintly blue while the weapon is wielded. The handle is carved from a fine maple wood and is wrapped in white dragon leather.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, it deals an extra 1d6 cold damage on a hit. It has the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. Immediately after the attack, the weapon flies back to your hand. When you hit with a ranged attack using this weapon, you can use a bonus action to cause a flurry of ice and snow to explode out in a 20-foot radius sphere centered on the creature you hit. Each creature in the area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 4d10 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Once you use this feature, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Notes: Versatile, Topple
