A marvel of mechanical engineering, a Gunglaive combines a six-barrel revolving chamber with the length and reach of a glaive. Combined, it allows for bursts of power through the usage of high-calibre ammunition.
The Gunglaive can store six charges at a time.
Explosive Power Strike. When you hit with a melee attack with this glaive, you can expend 1 charge to do an extra 1d8 force damage per charge to the target.
Rocket Propulsion. Upon using a charge, make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failed save you are moved 5-feet backwards and do not provoke opportunity attacks. You can opt to fail this saving throw.
Superheated Lance. After exhausting a charge the glaive will become superheated for 1 turn. On a hit the lance will do 1d4 extra fire damage.
Misfire. Whenever you use a charge roll a d20. If you roll a 4 or below you waste the charge and it's effects as the Gunglaive misfires, making it impossible to use further charges until repaired. Repairing the Gunglaive requires a DC 12 Tinker's Tools check as an action. If your check fails, the mechanism breaks and requires mending outside of combat, reverting the weapon to an ordinary glaive until fixed.
Reload. At any point you can reload your weapon at the cost of a bonus action. You must have one hand free to reload the Gunglaive.
Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
