This midnight blue armor is a +2 suit of half plate, and light that shines on this armor is prismatically inverted. Visible light that is red becomes teal, orange becomes blue, yellow becomes dark blue, green becomes pink, blue becomes yellow, indigo becomes a pale green, violet becomes a dark green. Chitinous in form, this armor is formed of Stygian ice, and is covered in an alchemical combination of mithril and mercury, which freezes onto the armor. Underneath these plates, dark chain mail made from iron golems swirled with stormy grey lines covers the joints. The gambeson underneath is a violet color laced with gold, with patterns of veins throughout, weaved from cloth dipped in mind flayer spinal serum. This armor is polished with sand made from the powdered bones of a death tyrant.
Lady Anastasiya of the Stormborn made this armor as a crowning achievement of her skills as a smith, working with materials traditionally not used for forging to make a marvel that would protect the wearer from those things that come from beyond. As the only member of the Stormborn without magic, Lady Anastasiya made this armor to reflect that the power of magic would not always be used in benevolence, and that someone would need to be the shield against those who would misuse their power.
While you are wearing and are attuned to this armor, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and spell attacks have disadvantage against you and you are immune to any spell or effect that would alter your form. You also gain a +2 bonus to saving throws. Additionally, this armor gives the wearer the benefits of the nondetection spell.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
