A box that seems once decorated but now through many iterations of trial and error from experimentation has become weathered and bruised. Inside it is filled with a black, sponge-like material with the space for two rings. When two rings or earrings (can be one of each) of the same material is inserted into these spaces, the box can be closed for a few seconds to enchant these with the sending spell. These rings can send a different amount of words per message between them depending on what material they're made of:
-Silver: Can send up to 5 words in one message, and receive up to 5 words.
-Gold: Can send up to 15 words in one message, and receive up to 15 words.
-Gold with a rare gemstone: Can send up to 30 words in one message, and receive up to 30 words.
After a message is sent with one ring, a reply can be sent from the other. After the reply is successfully sent and communicated to the other ring, or even if the other the receiver does not send a reply after one minute of receiving a message, both rings are destroyed. Both rings must be in the same plane of existence for a message to be sent. There is no limit to the distance between the rings for the message to be successfully sent. If there is no one able to receive the message on the other ring, the message will not be sent. If a message is not successfully sent, the ring will not be destroyed and the creature that wears it will know the reason why the message failed to be sent.
