Weapon (rapier), uncommon (requires attunement)

A curved rapier, this shotel sword deals 1d8 slashing damage upon impact. You also gain a +1 to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

In addition to this, the curved blade is imbued with the swinging nature of the giant ape. If the user is already airborne and moving horizontally (swinging on rope, making a long jump, etc.) and a vertical surface is in reach of the user with open space below it (a cross-beam below a ceiling, the top of a doorframe, a tree branch, etc.), then a Dexterity(Acrobatics) check can be made, with the result deciding how many maximum extra feet of horizontal movement the user can launch themselves before descending, with the maximum feet of movement equal to the result of the check. If the result of the check is above 15, then any fall damage taken is reduced by 5 points.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Combat, Utility, Finesse, Vex
