Astarael, “The Weeper”, is a large golden bell covered with Giant runes. Designed to be swung in two hands, a silver star-sun-moon sigil is etched into one side. Spikes decorate the handle. Scents of rosemary and amaranth surround the bell.
A creature can use their action to swing Astarael, creating a deep, sonorous tolling sound. Swinging Astarael enables the wielder to cast raise dead on all dead creatures within 100ft.
Using Astarael comes with considerable risk. The bell’s tolling also affects all living creatures within 100ft. All such creatures must make a DC15 Constitution saving throw. If they fail, they die and cannot be raised by any means other than true resurrection or wish.
Once sounded, Astarael cannot be used again in this way and becomes a mundane bell that emits no noise.
