The Zen Chimes as a small set cymbal around 2" in diameter. Once per day, after attunement, the cymbal can be chimed to take its effect. The chiming can be done as part of a short or long rest  or during an action during combat. During combat the chime will assist a prayer or moment of mindfulness to take its effect if the character takes no other action (including movement) and does not take damage in that round. The chime had 1 charge per day.

The effect of the cymbal chime is to restore either ki points or one spell slot dependent on the characters level and class.

Level 1-4: 1 ki point or a 1st level spell slot

Level 5-9: 2 ki points or a 1st level and 1 2nd level spell slot

Level 10-14: 3 ki points or a 1st and two 2nd level spell slots

Level 15-17: 4 ki points or a spell slot of any level the character has gained

Level 18-20: 5 ki points or 2 spell slots of any level the character has gained
