Amulet of Resurrection

This simple golden amulet depicts a bird in full wingspan. If a creature wearing the amulet dies, the amulet turns to dust and the DM rolls 2d12 in secret. After a number of hours equal to the roll, the creature returns to life on the spot it died, following the rules of the true resurrection spell. This process binds the soul from the moment the creature dies, ensuring that it is willing and able to return to life. The amulet also protects the soul from effects that would otherwise cause irreversible death.
