Weapon (greataxe), legendary (requires attunement by a To attune to this weapon the wielder must lay the axe in snow and meditate with it for an hour. )

Arktos (greataxe)

The handle of this greataxe is made of slightly curved wood with a bears head carved into the bottom. The head of the axe is a bearded blade with strange runes carved into the dark metal. This weapon, regardless of the wielder, always feels light and perfectly balanced as long as they are attuned.

The axe has the thrown property and can be thrown up to 25 feet. As a bonus action the weapon can be summoned back to the wielder's hands in a straight line. Any creature in the weapon's return flight path must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or take 1d12 slashing damage.

As a bonus action the wielder may speak the weapon's name: "Arktos". This will cause the blade to be covered with frost and the runes on the blade to glow blue and emit a soft blue light in a 25 foot radius.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
