Wondrous Item, rare
The arrow of silencing is designed to create a field of silence, similar to the Silence. They are commonly sought for by assassins, criminals, and kidnappers. When the arrow hits its target it creates a 10ft radius sphere of silence for one minute, centered on the arrow. The sphere can also move with the arrow. Once this arrow is used in this way, it becomes a nonmagical arrow.
