Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement)

The Dread Ship of Umberlee, Tempest Goddess of the Sea and Storms, is a sea-worthy caravel; two-masted with lateen sails and two additional lateen sails that flare out on the main mast; the prow bears the figurehead of the goddess Umberlee, (which can also serve as a ram); its bulkhead is black, with thick strands of hair and seaweed; faint whispers of its dead crew, lamenting their sorrowful fate, can sometimes be heard by the living who sleep within the ship. The ship has 25 charges (maximum) and renews 1d6 charges every dusk so long as it is touching a body of water. The ship is crewed by 10 undead crew, (skeleton stats) who’s souls are bound to the vessel for eternity, and who only obey the commands of whomever is attuned to the vessel. While attuned to it you can use an action to speak one of its 3 command words to cause the following effects:

•            The first command word, (“by the watery depths of the ***** queen’s reach”) causes the vessel and all it contains, to submerge under water for 1 day, and grants those aboard it the effects of the spell Water Breathing; this power expends 6 charges and can only be used once per ten-day.

•            The second command word, (“by the storm-tossed winds of the cold hearted Lady”) causes the vessel to fly, as per the Fly spell, granting a movement of 60’ per turn or 1 mile per hour; this power expends 10 charges per day.

•            The third command word, (“by the chaos heart of the tempest queen of the seas”) causes the vessel to teleport, as per the spell, the entirety of the ship and all it contains, to any location in the Realms; this power expends 20 charges and can only be used once per ten-day.

Ship Statistics:

The vessel can carry up to 20 passengers, (living), has a cargo capacity of 1 ton, AC 13 and 300 hit points with a damage threshold of 10. The ship can only be repaired by sacrificing the souls of its crew, which repair 30 hit points per soul; the crew must be composed of the souls of chaotic evil humanoids who have offended or slighted the ***** Queen’s grace.
