This is the dagger of the bloodthirsty assassin Ardon. This weapon is so bloodthirsty that it has semi-sentience. In order to unsheath this dagger, you must have the intent to kill your target in one blow. When this weapon is drawn, the current sheathe turns into old congealed blood and falls away. If you miss, or if your target dies by something other than this dagger, the dagger will attack you in order to quench its thirst. The only way to sheathe this dagger is to kill your target, as the dagger takes the target's blood and forms a new sheathe.
The dagger has the following properties:
- You gain +7 to attack and damage rolls.
- If you kill a creature with this dagger, you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage you dealt to it.
- If you roll to hit a creature with this dagger and miss, your target dies by some other means, or you go a round without attacking, the dagger sinks itself into your heart automatically dealing a critical hit against you in order to quench its thirst for blood.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
