Amulet of Proficiency

While wearing this amulet, once per long rest, you may choose to add your proficiency bonus to an ability check or saving throw.

You may use this power even if your proficiency bonus already applies to that ability check or saving throw, as if you had expertise in that skill. It may NOT be used for ability checks in which you already have expertise. You may only use this power after you have rolled and before you have been told the outcome by the DM.
