Wondrous Item, common

Magical Furnace powered by the disruption of the weave, used in creating magical items.

The furnace counts as one workweek for the crafting of an item but only applies to the item once. The ingame purposes of the furnace are to help imbue items with spells or enchantments, bind/unbind items, create/forge adamantine* or similar metals, or prepare an item to be enchantment (like a gem). Since the furnace operates by the simple idea that the weave is manipulated to create magical effects the runes that allow the furnace to work are rather basic and not all that dissimilar to spells like Prestidigitation or Magic missile.

The furnace is no bigger than a 1-foot cube but it can take on any shape when you make it or find it.

Authors note: The furnace cannot destroy any artifact, legendary, very rare, rare magical item, but can help add something to the item.
Making an arcane furnace is a path for making items that may either be too costly or too big of a sidequest for a campaign. The construction of an arcane furnace is a rather simple task, it can be created from things like clay, hardwood, (metal, and stone) it requires no tool proficiencies to make the arcane furnace but the magic user should be of 3rd level or higher. The arcane furnace should be treated as a common item and can be counted towards the making of another item. The furnace works in a similar manner to our induction furnaces, creating eddy currents that run back and forth creating heat, though instead of simple electricity it's magic that powers this furnace. The source books tell you how long an item would be to craft but don't tell you how or why, I hope this helps. I wish I had art for this thing. -Stormer454

*The making of the furnace does require tools if you make it from metal or wood but because it's a simple shape it doesn't require proficiency with the appropriate tools.

**The furnace can only create half a pound of adamantine in two days.
