Weapon (shortbow), uncommon

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, when you roll damage, you roll [roll]1d6[/roll] extra damage, of either fire, cold, acid, poison, or thunder damage. This extra damage type is consistent, and can only be changed with specifc rituals during a long rest.

The weapon's extra damage retains the typing of the non-awoken version.

As a reaction, you can raise your bow to the attack to give yourself resistance to all non-magical physical damage, or one type of elemental damage. If the damage (pre-calculation) exceeds 1/2 your max health, roll a d20. On a 1, the bow loses its magical properties until re-enchanted by a user of magic.

----
This weapon was crafted specifically for Samantha Telzado by a helpful craftsman based in Wolfspine. It is heavier than other shortbows, mostly thanks to the ornamental additions, but not nearly enough to impact the performance of the weapon. Inlaid in the limb of the bow is a gemstone that swirls with colour. Contained within, chromatic energy from the crystal is used to influse shot arrows with extra power.

The Gem in this weapon constantly glows, swirling with elemental energy that feels as if it watches the user.

Proficiency with a Shortbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Acid, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Range, Two-Handed, Vex
