Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

One of the seven Moonblades passed down from the Moon Elves. It isn't common for the wielder to be able to use a Moonblade to it's fullest potential, the wielder will first be judged by the blade. If the blade sees the wielder as worthy, the life essence from the previous wielders that are bound in the blade will provide a source of magic to the wielder, unlocking its full potential.

Add a d4 after making an attack roll. Consecutive hits against a creature each turn will allow an additional d4 to be added to the attack roll. Cannot stack more than 3d4's. The more d4's accrued, the more the blade will begin to glow.

Additionally if the user wishes, as an attack they may expend their accrued d4's and make a range attack of up 15ft against a creature, creating a vertical wave of blue magic.

Accrued d4's reset if the wielder attacks another creature while there are accrued d4's.

Full potential can only be used if the wielder is of Elven blood.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
