These bags, when found, and there are a very limited number of them in existence, look like a simple burlap bag which is attached to a rope belt. Under detect magic the item will radiate extremely strong magic, artifact in level. Identify will discover the properties of the item, as unbelievable as they are. The bag and rope together weigh only a few ounces.
This tiny construct takes on the appearance usually of a tiny beast such as a frog, lizard, rat, or even more. The ability of it to mimic its shape makes it look similar to a mimic, though it is a construct by nature. It is counted as a tiny construct with 20 Hit Points, an Armor Class of 18, and has blindsight out to 30 ft. but is blind beyond that distance. It is unable to communicate but it can understand Common. It has a Constitution of 10, an Intelligence and Wisdom score of 3, a Strength of 4, a Dexterity of 18, and a Charisma score of 1. It has a land speed of 30 ft., and no matter what form it takes it cannot have a fly or a swim speed. It cannot attack, but as a bonus action on your turn you can command it to take the Hide, Disengage, or Ready the Dodge action.
Legend-Lore – In the distant past one of the elder gods decided to give his demi-mortal children a gift, he gathered his power and pulled seven efreet princess from the plane of magic and capture them into vessels of enchanted burlap. Then in a ritual that has been lost to the mists of time, he forced these efreet to be opened to the infinite. Each of the efreet became a living demi-plane of infinite dimensions. They are trapped within the weave of the burlap and rope and spelled to remain forever clean and undamaged. This transference caused them to lose their ability to think or act independently, however they did manage to distort the magic in one way. They made the binding of attunement permanent.
When one of these items is found, the person wishing to attune to the item must strip off their clothing for a week. to the point that the silken rope will touch their flesh when fastened. The bag and rope will become invisible and incorporeal to anyone but the attuned. This is when the attunement takes full effect. The new owner of the bag cannot remove it, nor un-attune to it in any way. The item has become a part of them. Only a remove curse cast by a full god (Not an ascended) can release the owner from the bag.
The bag itself can be detached from the belt and even left lying around, however as soon as the owner reaches for the bag at his hip, it reappears attached to the belt. It always hangs on the outside of his clothing so it can be accessed easily.
The mouth of the bag can be stretched until it is 10ft in diameter and anything, other than the owner, that can fit through a 10ft diameter hole can be placed into the bag. The owner cannot enter the bag other than his hands, to pull things out.
The magic of the bag is such that whatever the owner reaches for is the item he grabs.
Anything inside the bag is held in a state of stasis and is completely unaffected by the passage of time. If a steaming hot cup of coffee is placed in the bag, it can be pulled out a thousand years later and the steam will still be rising from the liquid, and none of the liquid will have spilled.
A corpse placed into the bag, remains at the last instant of its time. If it is shoved in 30 seconds after its death, and then pulled out two days later, it still only died 30 seconds before.
If the owner tries to place a living thing in the bag, the victim gets a savings through at DC10 to resist the transfer. On a success it gets a free action attack on the owner of the bag, though it does not have to attack. If the being is willing, then they can allow themselves to go into the bag.
Placing an artifact inside the bag allows the artifact the same save as a living creature, however, the artifact teleports to its owner’s hand on a successful save. If the artifact does not currently have someone attuned to it, it teleports to a random location on the current plane of existence, this could very easily be right into an enemy’s hand.
When the bag becomes detached from the owner after his death, the contents of the bag are scattered across the planes of existence as the bag empties itself.
The bag cannot be turned inside out and placing another bag of holding inside it has absolutely no effect. It cannot be punctured from the inside or out.
The few people who have been lucky enough to gather one of these bags, have become packrats. They tend to carry a little of everything in their bag.
Notes: The person wishing to attune to the item must strip off their clothing to the point that the silken rope will touch their flesh when fastened for a week.
