Wisps of harmless, odorless smoke rise from this armor while it is worn. But that is not all this armor is capable of. On the torso of the armor is a golden fist symbol. If the wearer invokes this power by merely thinking of it, the golden fist as well as the rest of the gold detailing on the armor will glow. The wearer must then choose if they wish to access the Dragon Armory, The Dragon Lair, and The Dragon Traits.
If the Armory is accessed the wearer will be able to take one of the following:
Crystal Blade
Dragon Lance
Dragon Wing Bow
Flail of Tiamat
Platinum Scarf
Sapphire Buckler
Topaz Annihilator
If the Dragon Armory is used it cannot be used again until after 1 long rest. Whatever item is taken from the armory will return to the armory when it is unequipped or when the wearer goes to sleep. If it is unequipped the wearer of the armor gains 1 level of exhaustion until they have taken a short rest. If they sleep instead then they do not gain exhaustion.
If the wearer decides to use The Dragon lair they can do one of two things. They can either summon a young dragon of their choice, or grab the potion of Dragon's Majesty which contains a dragon sclae from whatever dragon they choose. when the potion is consumed the consumer transforms into an adult dragon of whatever scale was in the potion. If the potion is used, the transformation lasts for only an hour and they will gain one level of exhaustion, and in the dragon form, the dragon's legendary or lair or change shape actions cannot be used. when in this form the user uses the adult dragon stats of whatever dragon it is instead of their own stats. The user retains their personality, languages, memory, and speaking ability in this form.
If a young dragon is summoned instead, the Dragon will stay for 24 hours or until it drops to 0 hitpoints. It cannot be healed. If the dragon makes a bond with someone it will instead stay for 48 hours or until it drops to 0 hp. If it creates a bond with the wearer, the Dragon can stay for the rest of the adventure and can be healed and thus becomes an NPC. If a Dragon is bonded in this way, dragons can no longer be summoned.
If the wearer decides to take The Dragon Traits route, the wearer can adopt these traits from a dragon:
Breath Weapon
Flight
Change shape
blind sight
dark vision
frightful presence
Only one dragon trait can be adopted at a time and can stay forever or until the user changes their trait. A trait can only be selected once per day. If a trait is changed twice in a row, the user suffers 2 levels of exhaustion.
If the wearer is "Meighleigh, The Indomitable" She may use a legendary action called Gate-Crash which allows Meighleigh to summon her Dragon Goddess form. The Dragon Goddess form has 950 hp, adds plus 10 to all stats, can speak and understand any language, becomes gargantuan, can use any breath weapon for three recharges and 4d10 damage each in a 90 foot cone, has an ac rating of 10, can use bite, claw, or tail attacks which deals 4d10 damage each, can glimpse the near future and have a +2 advantage on attack rolls, can use frightening presence, and also passively gives inspiration to friendlies.
However, if Gate-Crash is used it will only last for 3 hours and once "Meighleigh, The Indomitable" reverts back to her mortal form, she suffers 4 levels of exhaustion and loses 10 hp. Gate-Crash can only be used twice per month in game time.
All other abilities that are not Gate-Crash can only be used once a day and it can only be one choice per day.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
