Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)
While attuned to this weapon, you have the following abilities:
- You can understand and read Draconic.
- You can cast Hellish Rebuke at first level from the weapon as a reaction. You may decide to change the damage type to necrotic damage. If you do, you gain hit points equal to half the damage dealt by this spell (rounded down). Once this property is used, it can’t be used again until you complete a long rest.
- When you score a critical hit with this weapon, until your next turn, attacks are made at disadvantage against you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you as shadows spread from your blade and protect you and those closest to you.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
