You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Aurielic Bond: Spending charges can be done by any wielder, but they only regenerate when the person attuned is a Cleric of The Trickery Domain. Abilities in a green font are only available to Clerics with this Bond.
Using any of the following constitutes the use of one of the item's charges, which is an action.
- Major: Slamming the trident's base onto the ground, you unleash a wave of green and yellow flames in a 45ft radius around you. These flames deal 3d12 poison damage and 3d12 radiant damage. If a target takes more than 30 damage from either wave, they are pushed to the edges of the wave, regardless of size.
- Fortuna: Raising the trident aloft, the air around you radiants a dangerous green aura. The wielder's next attack with this weapon is a Critical Hit. The attack explodes in yellow energy and the aura fades once the attack has been made. Fortuna can be held for up to an hour in advance.
- Minor: Stabbing the Trident into the ground, The Wielder and every ally within 15ft of the activation spot gains a +4 to their attack rolls and 7 points of damage reduction for every attack levelled at them. For every allied turn this stays up, the bonuses are reduced by 1. With Aurielic Bond, this is instead changed to the number going down at the end of the wielders turn.
Oh to Chance the Fate of Luck.
A Common Phrase among the Aurielic Clerics, if only they knew its dark beginnings. The phrase has been intrinsically passed down through Auriel's Past, Present and Future Chosen. Those who say it preach it as some kind of mantra, not knowing about its ulterior function.Speaking this phrase while wielding this weapon forces the user and anyone they are physically contacting is immediately granted a Gambler's Gambit with Auriel or one of his envoys.
Gambler's Gambit: An Audience with Auriel. this is a seemingly unstoppable wish, with no limits. The consequences? Auriel gets to mess with the wish as much as he desires. Using this keyphrase destroys the weapon.
