-1 (Uncommon), -2 (Rare), -3 (Very Rare), -5 (Legendary)
A maul imbued with the power to shatter your enemy’s defenses.
When attacking with this weapon, if a critical hit is scored against that opponent and it is wearing armor, the armor is permanently damaged. This causes the opponents AC to be lowered by amount determined by the rarity of the maul. Armor damaged in this way can only restore its full potential if it in restored by a blacksmith or similar craftsman. If Armor Class is lowered to the point where the victim’s natural AC is higher then that of the AC with armor, the Armor shatters. This deals an extra 1d8 slashing and 1d8 piercing damage and the armor is destroyed.
Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: Heavy, Two-Handed, Topple

Posted Aug 12, 2022This is my first homebrew magic item. Honestly, even if only 1 person ever uses it, I’d be pretty happy.
