No-one knows where this weapon of exceptional power came from. It is said to exist in many dimensions at the same time.
The Aeturnum will fire a projectile a short distance before exploding and instantly hitting nearby enemies with beams of magic. It's best to aim where the projectile hits as many enemies at once. When powered it fires a black hole.
This item has 3 charges. While wielding this item, you can expend its charges to use one of its innate abilities:
Eradication. Costs 1 charge. The Aeternum launches a ball of pure magical energy that, shortly after, explodes into hundreds of beams that instantly impact everything around the wielding. The ball travels 30ft. before exploding, or until it hits a surface. All creatures in 200ft. with line of sight to the orb except the wielder when it explodes take 10d4+40 Force damage, half as much if they have 100 or more hit points.
Obliteration. Costs 3 charges. The Aeternum creates a small, 10ft. radius black hole 30ft. in front of the wielder that lasts for 5 rounds. There is a one round delay before it begins dealing damage. When it does, all creatures in 200ft. with line of sight to the black hole, including the wielder, take 10d4+20 Force damage per round, have their speed reduced to 0, and are pulled into the black hole at a speed of 60ft. per round. Creatures that pass a DC 18 Strength save can resist being pulled in. Any creature that makes contact with the black hole with less than 100 hit points is instantly destroyed in the singularity. If it has more than 100 hit points when it makes contact, it takes an additional 10d4+20 Force damage per round instead. Creatures killed or instantly destroyed in the singularity are existentially obliterated from both life and the afterlife, and cannot be revived, even with a Wish spell.
This item regains 1 charge on a long rest.
