Weapon (greatclub), artifact (requires attunement by a Can be attuned by any non-elf)

Constructed of a dark and as of yet unidentifiable hard wood the steel spikes of this ancient war-club always seem bloodied, even when freshly cleaned

Almarg has a +1 Bonus to attack and damage rolls for all wielders, but when wielded by a fully attuned user it is +2 to attack and damage against Elves and Half-Elves.  Additionally, an attuned user has Advantage when fighting Elves and Half-Elves as well as receiving a +1 resistance to sleep and charm spells.

In order for Almarg to remain attuned to the wielder, the club needs to taste humanoid blood daily.  Even a drop from the wielder will do in a pinch.

History

No one knows for sure where the weapon called Almarg (Orcish for Elf-Crusher) originated from, only that it has always seemed to be in the possession of the chief of the Blood-Eyes tribe of orcs in their varied and ancient wars against the elves and human barbarian tribes of the eastern borderlands.  Some rumors claim that it is an ancient and intelligent artifact that originated in the very first wars between the elves and orcs by absorbing the hatred of the orcs and Gruumsh in it's varied battles.  Other rumors claim it is just a big, spiky stick that has gained power over generations of use by the Blood-Eyes and all the blessings of the shamans.  Either truth has made it a potent enough weapon against elves for many Orcs over the years.

Proficiency with a Greatclub allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
