Auquhol's hourglass appears as a regular hourglass full of glimmering purple sand, made of crushed Nilbog bones.
As a bonus action after casting a spell with a duration of longer than instant, you may turn the hourglass and double the duration of the spell.
You can use the hourglass a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier and regain spent uses after finishing a long rest.
If the hourglass is already extending the length of a spell and you attempt to extend a second spell, the first spell immediately ends even if this is shorter than its original duration.
If a spell requires concentration you maintain concentration for the increased duration.
The hourglass comes in three rarities which determines the level of spell it can be used on.
Rare: Cantrips
Very Rare: 1st level and below
Legendary: 3rd level and below
Notes: Requires attunement by a spellcaster
