Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a creature with a STR score of at least 17, or by a creature with infernal heritage.)

Demon Hunter - This weapon is magical, and has +2 to hit when attacking fiends. 

Exceed While attuned to this weapon, you may use an action to activate Red Queen's combustion system by revving the handle of the sword. This builds one charge of Exceed, up to a maximum of 3. While you have at least one charge, Red Queen gains the reach property. When you next make a melee attack, Red Queen expends one charge, and deals an additional 2d10 fire damage on a successful attack. This charge is still expended if the attack misses. You must have at least one free hand to use this feature. 

EX-Act - Upon successfully hitting a creature with Red Queen, you may expend your reaction to immediately gain a charge of Exceed. 

MAX-Act - On a critical hit, you may expend your reaction to immediately gain all three charges of Exceed, or go up to the maximum if you already had one or two charges. 

Style The force generated by Red Queen's combustion allows the wielder to perform various powerful techniques while Exceed is active. These attacks require at least two charges to Exceed to perform, and can be enhanced if the wielder has three. Upon declaring use of any Style action, all charges of Exceed are consumed once the action is resolved. 

High Roller - Use the force of Red Queen to fling an enemy into the air like a rag doll, and force creatures out of your path. Make a melee attack against a creature within range. Upon success, the attack deals Red Queen's normal Exceed damage, and forcibly launches the creature 10 feet into the air for each charge of Exceed you have. At the end of the turn, the creature immediately falls to the ground, and takes falling damage as applicable. Having three charges of Exceed gives advantage with this attack. 

Streak Allow Red Queen's combustion engine to carry you across the battlefield, pulling you to any unoccupied space within 10 feet of you that you can see, ignoring all difficult terrain and not provoking Opportunity Attacks. If this movement ends with you within 5 ft. of a creature, you can make a melee attack against them that deals damage as though you had one charge of Exceed. If you have three charges of Exceed when this Style action is performed, you may move an additional 10 ft., and the attack can push the target back up to 15 ft.

Shuffle - Make use of Red Queen's exhaust to propel yourself out of danger. When you are struck by a melee attack, you may use your reaction to gain a bonus to your AC equal to half your Dexterity modifier, rounded down until the beginning of your next turn, including against the triggering attack. You can use this after the attack is compared against your AC. Upon activating Shuffle and the enemy's attack has been resolved, immediately make an attack against the creature that attacked you. With three charges of Exceed, the counterattack is made with advantage. 

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
