This crown was created by fusing the iron shoes of horses lost to war, the crystals from the river where innocent blood was spilled, and the silver from the rings of lost soldiers without a family. The surviving loyal fey who fought to be free of The Queen of Shadows and her tyrannical rule were invited to aid in this crown's creation by placing a tiny piece of material into the forge whence it became one with the rest. The fires that stoked the forge were built from the remnants of broken weaponry and buildings, and the embers sparked from the breath of a very small yet very brave pseudodragon named Lucifer, the general's best friend.
Master Blacksmith and Silversmith, knighted Sir Badger Greyspark by the rightful Queen Besheira, worked tirelessly for weeks meticulously crafting this crown. It is unknown how the Fey create such magnificent and intricate items - their ways are secret and ancient - however the masterpieces created by such practices is unrivalled across the planes.

- Indefinite madness (symbiotic). If the crown moves more than 10ft away it glows a bright blue with melancholy while separated, and the wearer feels intense, near-debilitating melancholy until reunited with the crown. Until reunited, the wearer has disadvantage on all attacks, ability checks and saving throws. The wearer is also unwilling to unattune to the crown until an appropriate and true Scion has been chosen and is ready.
- Indefinite madness (possessiveness). While attuned to the crown, the wearer must protect it at all costs. If anyone but the wearer and their summons (willingly) attempt to touch the crown for any reason other than retrieving it for the wearer, the crown will reveal their intention by glowing red and they take 4d10 force damage at the start of each of their turns for as long as they hold the crown, and the wearer is compelled to attack the intruder regardless of their relationship or personal morals. The wearer will not stop attacking until the crown is back in their hands, and will feel compelled to use any and all force they have at their disposal to retrieve it. If, however, the intruder is unwilling, the Crown will magically seek out the source forcing the intrusion (distance does not matter) and damage them instead.
