Weapon (shortsword), rare (requires attunement by a by any class or race)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

While attuned to this weapon, you gain either 1x, 1.5x, or 2x damage with attack roles depending on how many allies you are with and how many enemies there are. The formula works like this {enemy party/allied party (including wielder) then rounded to each of the multipliers. Example: 4 party members are about to fight 6 goblins. 6/4 = 1.5 therefore the wielder of the sword gains that multiplier. Bonus damage from this being a +1 sword are also added to the total and the total is always rounded (DM's choice on up or down). Example of a damage roll: 1d6 rolled a 4, add the bonus one to make it 5. With a 1.5x damage mod, this becomes an 8 (rounded up).

While attuned to this weapon, the wielder gains a bonus +2 to any investigation roll when looting.

Curse: While attuned to this weapon, the sword emits a golden aura while in combat. This aura attracts enemies to the wielder and (at DM's discretion) may even result in an attempt to disarm the wielder and take the sword for their own. The DM also decides how many enemies are allured by the sword.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
