Weapon (longbow), artifact (requires attunement by a Requires attunement)

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Arzoth's Heartstring is a bow fashioned from one of Arzoth's horns. It is near-indestructible and cannot break under its own stress.

The bow has no visible string, however when an arrow is pulled back a green strand of energy will appear. Runes along the front of the bow will begin to glow faintly. When the bow is sheathed, it floats behind the wielder where it would normally rest.

The bow amplifies the force of any arrow fired out of it, adding 1d4 damage to a successful hit. Additionally, non-magical arrows are imbued with necrotic energy, and deal 1d8 necrotic damage. A green ribbon follows the arrow in flight, and when it connects a green spark erupts out.

Arzoth created the bow with protection in mind. Once per long rest an attuned creature can use their reaction to expend the bow's charge and cast counterspell.

To you, my heart. May it reach all who wish to harm you.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
