A Jitté is a simple rod with a pronged tine that starts at the hilt. It's main purpose is to arrest or stop the blade of an oncoming attack as well as apply leverage or possibly even break blades that it has caught in its tine. It is designed primarily as a defensive tool but can also be used offensively as a club.
This item has 1 charge. Whenever the user is struck with a melee weapon, you may spend one charge to arrest the weapon and reduce damage taken by 1d10+6. If this reduces the damage to 0, the attacker becomes grappled and cannot let go of the arrested weapon.
As an action, if the Jitté has grappled a previous attacker and they are still grappled, you may make a STR(12) check. On a success, the attackers weapon is broken and they are no longer grappled.
This weapon regains 1 charge daily at dawn.
Proficiency with a Club allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Light, Slow
