This scorched Ashwood spear holds within its core a long piece of fulgurite from when Talos, in his anger, struck the sea witch Hethre from her throne. The head of this spear is of bronze make and it channels the destructive power of a lightning bolt

Dormant

  • This weapon gains a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls
  • This weapon deals an additional 1d8 lightning damage on a hit
  • State of Shock. Once per turn when you hit creature with this weapon, you can force them to make a DC15 Constitution saving throw or lose the ability to use reactions until the end of your next turn
  • The wielder gains one minor beneficial property as well as a minor detrimental property

Awakened

  • The bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2
  • The additional lightning damage increases to 2d8
  • State of Shock DC16
  • When you hit with a thrown attack with this weapon it deals an additional d4 lightning damage for every 10ft it travels
  • When thrown this weapon immediately returns to the wielders hand
  • The wielder gains an additional minor beneficial property and minor detrimental property

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
