A plain looking blank book, to look at from a distance.
Upon opening this book it begins to magically fill with the complete story of the owner's life, broken into chapters by years. The appendix contains maps of places you have travelled. Scattered throughout are detailed illustrations of your past. A magical table of contents changes through various topics depending on the mood of the holder: Embarrassing moments, Promises Broken and Kept, Battles won and lost - if you think it, the table of contents can show you what page to find it on, and related stories.
Where the book has no official owner the book will show the holder's life, this will change rapidly as people pass the book between eachother; for example in a bookstore or library.
If the book is stolen from its owner it will cease adding new information and begin to fade, one chapter (year) for every day it is away from its owner. Once the book has been blank for a full day the book will claim the thief as its owner, however everything written will have a negative or dark view.
If the owner dies, a copy of the completed manuscript is 'delivered' to next of kin and the pages of the book become blank to be claimed by a new owner.
