Said to be crafted from the melted souls and bodies a thousand dead angels, this twisted, amalgamated abomination of a sword emits eerie hums and is carved with the visages of tortured angels and soul-piercing animate eyes. Despite its fearsome, grotesque appearance, the sword is actually incapable of killing and instead saps the magical power from anything it strikes.
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
The Angel Halo can damage creatures that cannot normally be damaged. It gains an additional +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls against any kind of Angel, God, or other divine being. When successfully damaged by this weapon, a creature gains a stacking -1 penalty to ability checks until they perform a long rest. This effect can only occur once per creature, per turn.
This weapon cannot reduce a creature below 1 hit point. However, when a creature is reduced to 1 hit point by an attack made with it, the creature is instead transformed into a harmless, smaller form similar to itself. A dragon may become a harmless salamander, a fairy may become a harmless butterfly, a human may be reduced to their childhood self, a fire elemental may become nothing more than an inanimate mote of flame, and even the mighty tarrasque may be reduced to nothing more than a fairly large lizard. Creatures that were summoned are also returned from whence they came. They do not lose magical properties integral to their existence, but are otherwise made mundane in every other way. While in this state, the creature cannot take actions or reactions, has a maximum of 1 hit point, and can only move half of its original movement speed. This transformation lasts until the creature performs a long rest, or until a creature more powerful than its original form (In level if applicable, CR if not) dispels the effect. It can be dispelled with a wish or miracle, or the expenditure of a 1st level or higher spell slot and an action while within 5ft of the transformed creature. When this happens, the creature that was originally sealed recovers 1 hit point. If it recovered via a long rest, it regains all hit points.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
