A relic of a bygone era. Arcus Umbra were the bows of choice for the Umbra Sagittarii, the elite marksmen serving the fearsome Nihilis the Destroyer.
The shaft of this bow is dark red, with threads as dark as night connecting the riser and the limbs. The string seems to be made of pure shadow, and only appears when ready to knock an arrow. Swirls of darkness envelope each end of this mighty bow.
An empty socket sits near the grip that appears to be the perfect size for... something. Perhaps this bow can be improved upon?
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Umbra Sagitta
Arcus Umbra infuses any arrow fired from it with shadow, dealing an additional 1d8 force damage with any ammunition used.
Descensus Tenebrarum
When you make an attack with the Arcus Umbra, you may choose to expend one of its charges.
Doing so creates a shadow copy of the arrow you have knocked, as Arcus Umbra looses an extra projectile targeting the original target of the attack.
The secondary attack does not consume ammunition, but shares the same properties and replicates the effects of any ammunition fired.
Diabolicus Critica
Scoring a critical hit always creates a shadow copy of your arrow, without expending a charge.
Umbra Complexus
While attuned to the Arcus Umbra, you have a +2 to all stealth checks while in darkness or dim light.
Implacabilis Umbra (Missing ???????)
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
