Weapon (rapier), unknown rarity (requires attunement by a Bard)

Once the wielder's soul is plunged into a deep sense of protecting others' lives Moondance has awakened. In the darkness, the unsheathed blade of this sword sheds moonlight, creating bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet.

Abilities:

  • Pierce (1 Charge) - As an action, you can thrust Moondance and choose to extend it up to 120 ft and strike through any solid object. Each enemy caught in the line of Moondance's Pierce will have to make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save the creature will take 5d8 piercing damage. On a successful save the creature takes half damage and is moved 5 ft on either side of it.

  • Mordenkainen's Sword (2 Charges) -  As an action, you create a sword-shaped plane of force that hovers within range. It lasts for the duration. When the sword appears, you make a melee spell attack against a target of your choice within 5 feet of the sword. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 force damage. Until the spell ends, you can use a bonus action on each of your turns to move the sword up to 20 feet to a spot you can see and repeat this attack against the same target or a different one.

  • Ultimate Moon Beam (3 Charges) - As an action, Call forth five silvery beams of pale light that shine down in a 5-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, dim light fills the cylinder.
    • When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is engulfed in ghostly flames that cause searing pain, and it must make a Constitution saving throw of (8 + your spellcasting ability modifier + your proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). It takes 5d10 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
    • On each of your turns, after you cast this spell, you can use an action to move the beam up to 60 feet in any direction.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
