This mithral plate mail is exceptionally well engineered, being incredibly light weight and having unparalleled maneuverability among heavy armors, and making virtually no sound as its plates move with your body. It allows the wearer up to their full Dexterity modifier as a bonus to armor class, only requires 11 Strength to effectively move in, and does not impose disadvantage on stealth checks. These prized suits of armor are always exceptionally well decorated, and made with expert craftsmanship, requiring a DC30 smith's tool check to create, and taking five times as long to produce as normal plate.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
