This plate mail is exceptionally well engineered, having very mobile joints and a wide range of motion for the limbs. It allows the wearer up to a +2 Armor Class bonus from their Dexterity modifier, like medium armor, and only requires 13 Strength to effectively move in. It is otherwise statistically identical to normal plate mail.
This armor is reinforced with adamantine, one of the hardest materials in existence. Any time a creature wearing it would be struck by a critical hit, it becomes a normal hit, instead.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
