While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
Spell Parry. Once per dawn, if you knowingly become the target of a spell, you can use your reaction to attempt to parry that spell. The caster must make an DC 14 ability check using their spellcasting ability. On a success, you remain the target of the spell. On a failure, the spell instead targets a random creature within 5 feet of you. If there are no other creatures to target, the spell does not target you (the spell still affects other targets as with magic missile or scorching ray).
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
