Wondrous Item, uncommon

An airship, is a magically created vehicle, resembling an ocean going ship. It's prow is redesigned to house the crafts helm, located in the forward part of the ship, rather than the stern. An airship still uses masts and sails. Sails, and rigging, are enchanted to collect, and move energy, as like a solar panel, to the engine rooms battery, (located in the stern of the ship.) Controls, located in the helm, is comprised of a stering wheel, to control the ships direction. A lever, to control the ships elevation. A group of pedals, that control the ships speed. The helm is crewed by a team of three; Captain, Pilot, and Communicator. The engine-room is crewed by a team of two; Engineer, and Relay-man. And a rigging crew, of either, one, two, or three people, (depending upon number of masts.) Any additional crew would serve as support crew, canoneers, and boarding crew. Airships run on crystals known for their ability for house magical energy, known as Electrum, (replacing the metal, Electrum, which is not used in this setting.)

Airships are controlled by the Mord Empire. Those few, that exist outside of the Empire, were stolen by what the Empire calls profiteers, (whom, in turn, call themselves Corsairs.)

An airship has great maneuverability, varies in speed depending on size, (the larger the ship, the slower it moves. Masts determine power needs of an individual airship,) and has the capability to hover in place. Larger ship can hold more guns, haul more weight, and move more troops, but a smaller ship can out run a larger.

Speed:

One-mast airship: 120' - 150' (Some Corsair Engineers have developed a technique that they call "over clocking," which allows for short burst of speed. It's done rarely, as it causes great ware on the engine. Only a one mast airship can be over clocked. When tried on two, and three mast ships, it blew the engine on the two mast, and caused a three mast to explode most devastatingly.)

Two-mast airship: 90'

Three-mast airship: 60'

HP and AC

One-mast airship: HP: 200  AC: 19

Two-mast airship: HP: 300 AC: 17

Three-mast airship: HP: 400 AC: 15

(All ships are upgradeable, at the cost of gold, but also movement. TBD.)
