Weapon (maul), artifact (requires attunement by a Only a Bloodhunter may attune to this weapon.)

When you damage a creature magical or otherwise with an attack using this magic maul, the target can’t regain hit points until the start of your next turn. This weapon also has the properties of the Dwarven thrower as it may be thrown up to 60 feet and automatically return to your hand, 120 feet at disadvantage. You have advantage on saving throws from spells as well as magical effects while wielding this weapon.

The Arcanist Demise was created by a certain sect of Bloodhunters who found the danger of spellcasters too high to ignore. While you wield this weapon all spell attacks also have disadvantage when they directly target you. Additively when you succeed on a saving throw you take no damage where half damage is applied and any magical effects do not take hold upon your character's succesful save even if verbage suggests it does.

Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
