An armblade shield's a magic shield that attaches to your arm, becoming incorporated into the arm and is inseparable from you as long as you're attuned to it. To attune to this item, you must hold it against your forearm for the entire attunement period.
The shield provides and additional +1 bonus to AC and can be activated as a bonus action, or as a reaction, and it extends instantly from the forearm. While it is extended, you can use the shield as if you were holding it, and you can't use that hand for other purposes. it requires a bonus action to retract the armblade shield into your forearm.
When extended as a reaction the shield also activates the absorb elements effect. The effect captures some of the incoming energy, lessening its effect on you and storing it for your next melee attack. You have resistance to the triggering damage type until the start of your next turn. Also, the first time you hit with a melee attack on your next turn, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the triggering type, and the effect ends. 3 charges / long rest
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Warforged, Damage, Combat
