Wondrous Item, rare
  1. This magic item has 6 charges, each use will consume 2 charges. The charges do not replenish and once all charges are used this item becomes a mundane pipe with no magical properties or potential of restoring such to it.
Each day, after you finish a long rest, you can choose the color of the smoke in the arcane stick. As an action on your turn, you take a puff of the arcane stick. Starting from the beginning of your next turn, you must exhale the smoke as a breath weapon. The damage type of said weapon is based on the color of the smoke you choose and the damage is 2d6 X damage.
You can choose between 3 different colors, which correspond to 3 different damage types :
    Red - Fire,
    Blue - Lightning,
    Green - Poison
(You may add flavor to each color for your own enjoyment but it would have no effect on the item.)

However, such power comes at a cost. After using the arcane stick, you must make a Constitution saving throw, the base DC is equal to 10 + your Constitution modifier. But this substance has proven quite tempting.
After every use, the DC increases by 3. On a failure, you will become addicted to the substance, suffering the consequences listed below:
    - You must use up all charges of the item in a single day.
    - If you were to run out of charges, make a Wisdom saving throw. The base DC is equal to 10 + your Wisdom modifier. The DC increases by 2 with each success. On a failure, you will feel an undying urge to purchase this item again, no matter the cost.
    - After you've inhaled the smoke and as your lungs become weaker, you will cough out the smoke. The breath weapon is then instantly unleashed on wherever your character is facing.
    - You will also gain numerous levels of disadvantages as your addiction becomes more uncontrollable:
Level 1 : Disadvantage on Charisma checks.
Level 2 : Disadvantage on Constitution saving throws.
Level 3 : Disadvantage on all ability checks. Level 4 : Your speed is halved.
Level 5 : Disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws.
Level 6 : Take 1d6 poison damage on each use. This damage will increase with at levels 4 (2d6), 11 (3d6) and 16 (4d6).

Up until Level 3, your addiction is curable by the spell Lesser Restoration or by refraining from using the item for 30 days.
From levels 4 - 6, your addiction can only be cured by the spell Greater Restoration.
