While you're not wearing any armour, as a reaction when you are targeted by an attack or as a bonus action, you cause the bracers to expand in an instant; equipping you with a full set of Plate Armour before the attack lands.

As a bonus action, you can cause the armour to shrink back to the bracers. While in this state they appear to be mundane bracers that weigh 1 Lbs, and they do not impose the Str requirements, Stealth Disadvantage, or weight that normal plate causes.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
