Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement by a successful Charisma check vs DC 13)

This sword is cursed by a coven of witches. Any who fail attempts to attune to unlock its secrets suffers 3d6 psychic damage and suffers a curse that causes DISADVANTAGE on any ability checks until lifted by a Remove Curse spell.

The sword offers the following benefits to the attuned user:

  • Guided attack. +2 attack bonus
  • Unhealing wounds. The damage done by the sword may not be healed by magical means or by SHORT REST. Any healing by LONG REST is considered a SHORT REST and hit die may only be regained at a rate of 1 per LONG REST. This effect may be negated by a Remove Curse spell.
  • Grievous wound. On a Natural 20, the target takes 1d4 necrotic damage for each time you've wounded the target with this sword.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Damage: Necrotic, Bonus: Melee Weapon Attacks, successful Charisma check vs DC 13, Damage, Combat, Versatile, Sap
