This set of dark steel finger fittings end with space for sharp claws to fit. Each of the fittings has arcane drawings etched into them. The fittings need to be worn over both hands in order to function as a magic item.
The first time you hit a target with an attack using your claws, the target makes a DC 10 Constitution saving throw if it’s a creature. On a fail, that target gains scarring. Whenever a creature lands a critical hit against that creature for as long as it is scarred, the damage is increased by 2d6.
Once per dawn, when you hit a creature that is scarred with an attack using your claws, you can invoke the malicious magic imbued in the fittings. When you do so, the attack counts as a critical hit.
A creature that is scarred makes a DC 15 Wisdom (Medicine) check at the end of each short or long rest it takes, healing the scarring on a success.
