Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement)

When you hit with an attack using this magic sword, the target takes an extra 1d6 lightning damage. In addition, while you hold the sword, you have resistance to lightning damage.

The sword has 5 charges. While holding it,  you can use an action to expend 1 charge to cause three bolts on lightning to strike from the heavens at three points of your choice. Each creature within 5 feet of that point must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature in the area of more than one lightning bolt is only affected once. 

The sword regains 1d4+1 charges at dawn.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
