When the canister is jabbed into a target via melee attack with dagger proficiency, the target must make a CONSTITUTION SAVE for poison with DISADVANTAGE vs DC 13. Resistance to poison allows the target to disregard the disadvantage. The poison has no effect against undead, elementals, or constructs.
- Failed Save. The target falls unconscious for 1d4 rounds then reanimates as a metamorphosed flesh aberration (see below)
- Successful Save. The target takes 2d8 poison damage at the end of the round.
If the Neisennkraft Serum is used on a recently deceased body within 24 hours, then the corpse may be reanimated as an undead Metamorphosed Flesh Aberration. The undead version may not heal and will die permanently if killed a second time.
Metamorphosed Flesh Aberration
The affected target is changed in the following ways and may only be restored by a Greater Restoration or Wish spells:
- Loses all class and subclass abilities
- If Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma are greater than 6, then those stats drop to 6.
- Gain 50 temporary hit points when they regain consciousness. NOTE: If the body suffers more damage than the temporary hit points may provide to be above 0hp, then the body does not gain consciousness.
- Resistance to poison.
- Gain an extra attack per action
- Gain a Bite attack 2d6 piercing damage
- Gain a Claw attack 1d6 slashing damage
- Must attack and pursue any living creature within line of sight
