You have a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon echo. Legendary pistol of Shiro Mori, The Ace of Spades is infused with the soul of a Solar that Shiro befriended but lost in a battle in a time long ago. This gun is capable of taking out swarms of even the fiercest enemies due to it's radiant detonation effects. The gun comes with a Will and Testament of one Shiro Mori. This weapon is at max frequency, but has full artifact property slots available.
Memento Mori
When scoring a critical hit with Ace of Spades you immediately reload as a free action and gain the effect of Memento Mori for the next six shots. Memento Mori causes this weapon to deal an additional 2d8 weapon damage and empowers the effect of Firefly. Memento Mori lasts until you stow or drop Ace of Spades.
Firefly
When reducing an opponent to 0 hit points with Ace of Spades all targets in a 15ft radius of the target take 2d10 Radiant damage. While under the effects of Memento Mori, Firefly deals an additional 2d10 Radiant damage. Firefly cannot trigger additional detonations. Any target killed by the radiant damage from this property is instantly disintegrated into a fine golden dust.
Golden Gun
You call upon the Solar within The Ace of Spades and the gun becomes shrouded in radiant fire. Ace of Spades becomes charged with radiant power causing the next three shots to become Solar Bullets and deal maximum damage instead of rolling so long as they hit. Landing a critical hit with Golden Gun grants you an additional Solar Bullet, up to a maximum of 3 additional bullets. Once Golden Gun has been activated it can only be refreshed by finishing a long rest or landing the killing blow with Ace of Spades on a Legendary Creature.
Creator (Celestial). - Ace of Spades was created with the bond of Shiro Mori and a Solar he had managed to befriend against all odds. Celestials view the wielder of Ace of Spades with respect and all evil entities despise the weapon with a hatred so intense they will actively hunt the wielder down.
History (Ornament). - Ace of Spades is adorned with the symbol representing it's name sake. The weapon when being used glows with shimmering silver light, as well as illuminating with bright golden fire during Golden Gun.
Minor Property (Guardian). - Ace of Spades gifts its wielder with the reflexive speed of Shiro Mori himself, granting a +3 bonus to initiative if the bearer isn't incapacitated.
Quirk (Loud). - Ace of Spades makes a loud distinct sound when fired that instantly gives away that the weapon and it's wielders are in the vicinity. Additionally when Firefly or Golden Gun are triggered, Shiro Mori will occasionally trash talk the wielder's foes quite audibly.
Sentient Weapon Echo. - Ace of Spades is imbued with the sentient minds of Shiro Mori and his Solar friend Zavala. The two while often agreeing on matters do occasionally bicker regarding the methods desired in achieving said matters. The Sentient minds are Chaotic Good and Lawful Good respectively. Ace of Spades has darkvision out to a range of 120ft and can telepathically communicate with it's wielder.
THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF SHIRO MORI
To whomst it may concern:
I, Shiro Mori, being of sound(ish) mind and body, do hereby and henceforth and heretofore leave all my possessions to the person, monster, animal, or natural phenomenon what kills me.
Aforesaid possessions include, but are not limited to:
– The Ace of Spades
– Any and all stashes I've hidden throughout the multiverse
– The Colonel, my faithful friend
– My debts, which follow:
The list of debts are so immense that one could not hope to ever repay them.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
