Wondrous Item, common
A pair of small magnetic stones magically linked to each other. When being held by creatures sensitive to magnetic fields, such as birds, the creature always knows the location of the other stone as long as they are on the same plane of existence.
These are commonly used for messenger birds who's masters travel often, allowing them to return no matter where their master is. They are commonly embedded in small anklets placed on a bird's foot, while the other is on their master's person, often in the form of jewelry or ornamentation.
