This dagger whispers the laments of the souls trapped inside of it. When you kill a humanoid with this weapon, you may choose whether or not to capture its soul in the dagger, assuming that the victim is in full possession of their soul. It can only hold one soul at a time. The victim cannot be resurrected unless first targeted by a seventh-level remove curse spell. When you make an attack with this weapon, you may choose to expend the soul trapped inside the dagger for a benefit that varies based on the alignment of the soul spent.
Good: You regain 2d4 hit points. Double the dice rolled if it is a critical hit.
Neutral: You gain advantage on the attack and damage rolls.
Evil: The dagger deals an additional 3d4 necrotic damage.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
